Dolen Review
HOW WE WORK

Editorial Standards

Dolen Review operates under the following editorial principles: articles are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.

02 EDITORIAL PROCESS
01
TOPIC SELECTION

Topics are selected based on their relevance to the question of nutritional consistency — specifically, structural reasons why eating approaches endure or break down over time. Commercial or advocacy-driven topics are excluded from consideration.

02
RESEARCH REVIEW

Each article draws on published nutritional research. The contributing writer compiles a reference set of peer-reviewed or independently published sources before drafting begins. Sources are available through the editorial office on request.

03
DRAFT AND EDIT

The writer produces a full draft according to the publication's register: reportorial, evidence-informed, and without advocacy for specific dietary frameworks. The draft is edited for accuracy, tone, and factual precision before passing to second review.

04
SECOND REVIEW

A second editor reviews the article independently for factual claims, source accuracy, and adherence to the publication's editorial principles. This review is separate from the initial edit and constitutes a full re-read against the source material.

05
PUBLICATION

Following dual editorial review, the article is published. The date of publication is recorded and displayed. Post-publication corrections are noted publicly within the article, with a brief description of the change and the date it was made.

03 CONTENT NOTICE

What Our Articles Are and Are Not

Articles published on Dolen Review are editorial in nature and reflect the writers' observations on everyday wellness practices. The content is not intended as professional advice, nor as guidance for the management of any specific condition. Readers with specific concerns about their daily routines are encouraged to speak with a qualified wellness professional.

Dolen Review is an independent editorial publication focused on everyday wellness practices. The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body. No advertising or commercial content related to food products or dietary programmes appears on this site. Editorial decisions are made entirely by the publication's editors.

07 STANDARDS FAQ

No. The publication documents the research record on nutritional consistency without advocating for specific dietary frameworks. Articles present evidence and observations; readers draw their own conclusions. Where the evidence consistently points in a particular direction — as it does on the failure modes of strict restriction — the publication reports that direction without prescribing an alternative.

Where research findings are contested within the academic literature, articles note the contested status explicitly and present both positions. The publication does not resolve academic disputes on behalf of readers, but it does indicate where the weight of the published evidence lies at the time of writing.

Yes. Full reference lists for all published articles are held by the editorial office and made available on request. Contact the editorial team via the contact page, referencing the article title. Responses are sent within three to five working days.

Pitches from independent researchers and qualified nutrition professionals are considered on a case-by-case basis. Proposals should be sent to the editorial team via the contact page with a brief description of the proposed article, its central argument, and the research sources it would draw on. Commercial relationships must be disclosed at the pitch stage.
